I definitely would call this a replacement for Google Docs and wouldn't use it as the only place to store important notes. I find it is just an easy to use tool that requires no logins or anything.

Is there a reason you don't use Google docs for this?

I like "no frills".... but I'm not comfortable saving important notes to a web service that may not be around in a week.

Hi Roz, that's a great question. I guess for me, I am almost always connected. I have TweetDeck open at work, Twitter is integrated with Facebook and my blog, when I watch TV it is usually on Boxee which is integrated with Twitter... so you get the idea. Social media is an integrated part of my life and an example how more and more lines between our personal and professional lives are blurring. That's hard for some people to accept, but I welcome it.

Hey Colton,

Nice to connect again after a long time -- virtually! (Which is the way things go these days.) So the luddite in me would like some guidance -- btn Facebook and Twitter and all the other sites, how does one spend an "appropriate" amount of time establishing your presence online/marketing yourself and/or your company but yet still get your job done?

Pretty solid list! I have to say I've really come to appreciate the Clock app. I use it for everything from timing script reads to keeping tabs on how much longer the burgers have on the grill.

I have to say that my favorite app on my phone is the silly, yet ever laughable YoMamma app. I sit in meetings with blow hards all day long and every once in a while I will press the Yo Mamma is so . . . button and it brings a little chuckle to an otherwise boring, inane 4-hour meeting.

I also like the Nimbuzz to chat with my international folks.

Colton,

Way to go in diving to start your blog! I totally agree with your assessment and my prediction is that Facebook will slowly but surely develop some of the twitter-like elements into its platform. They will co-exist and cater to two different set of audiences... Social media is more like a cloud and will be accessed based on user needs...
